After School Clubs

Dear Students and Parents:

This year, we are pleased to again offer clubs over a three semester period. Each club will be held from 3:15-4:15 during the semester and day it is assigned. When maximum numbers have been reached, the club will be closed to additional requests. Also, please note age/grade restrictions. Clubs are listed below. Parents, please use the attached form to enroll your child and return it to the main office by September 15th. Students may choose one or more clubs/semesters.

Semester I- September 22-November 14, 2008

Math Club sponsored by Mmes. Carson & Engle
Activities will include math games, group activities and use of on line math sites.

Grade levels-1-4
Day of week-Monday
Maximum number-12

Yoga sponsored by Mmes. Amsler & Harvie
Activities will include introduction of such techniques as stretching, breathing, poses
and relaxation.

Grade levels 4-8

Spanish Club sponsored by Ms. D’Archangelo
Activities will include learning about Spanish culture, cooking, dances and songs.

Cooking sponsored by Mmes, Weinberg, King, & Hynes
Students will supply and learn to prepare ingredients to make healthy entrees and
desserts.

Grade level-3-8

Maximum number- 12

Card Games sponsored by Mr. Jarrell
Students will learn to play a variety of card games.

Students will practice mixing, measuring, and cooperating to prepare simple snacks.

Students will practice musical selections to be performed during VIP Day.

Students will be exposed to a variety of literature.
