Ellison Education Foundation - Applying for a Grant Thank you for considering The Ellison School and taking the time to find out more about The Ellison Education Foundation. The Foundation was created to help provide education grants to families -- enabling more students to attend our school. Every application is considered individually, based on your family's specific needs. Anyone is eligible to apply. To help simplify and streamline the application process, we will be working with The School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). This is a service provided by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Here's how the process works: First, click here to visit the NAIS web site. Next, you will need to review and complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS). This is the cornerstone of the financial aid application and is offered in print or on line and is designed to be clear and easy to use. Step-by-step instructions on how to complete the PFS are offered on line. A toll-free helpline (866-387-2601) is also available. When the PFS is complete, mail or e-mail it to the SSS. The SSS analyzes the information to estimate your family's ability to contribute to educational expenses. This analysis is then sent to The Ellison School (within two weeks if application is mailed and within 48-hours if submitted on line). The Ellison Education Foundation committee (comprised of members of the Board of Trustees) will use the SSS analysis to help make its grant award decision. Again, we thank you for your interest and encourage you to apply. We are committed to growing our school and would welcome the opportunity to have you join us. If you have any questions, please call Ellison's Business Manager, Ellen D'Esposito at (856) 691-1734, ext. 11. |
